WE PROMOTE
ART AND CULTURE
KSP for culture
The promotion of art and culture is a matter close to our hearts.
Current
Falko Behrendt
We are currently exhibiting etchings and lithographs by the renowned graphic artist Falko Behrendt.
Falko Behrendt, born in Torgelow, Vorpommern, in 1951, studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts from 1971 to 1975 under Prof. Günter Horlbeck and Prof. Gerhard Kettner. Falko Behrendt lives and works in Lübeck.
Falko Behrendt's artistic project is essentially characterised by two depths. His figures and landscapes are reminiscent of Mecklenburg of yesteryear and the depth of time experienced, in which figures and landscapes appear fairy-tale-like. In etching, lithography and screen printing, colourful forms and filigree lines condense into spaces of experience in which dreams and memories overlap.
Past exhibitions
2015 – 2016
Roberto Spadoni
Roberto Spadoni breathes life into objects: Spadoni's iron creatures are spirit creatures born out of chaos, out of play. They are rigid and yet graceful, rusty and at rest in themselves, quiet and humble. Creatures waiting to be perceived, perhaps even loved. Each of Spadoni's figures is an individual with its own soul.
2016 – 2017
Carlo Cazals
Cazals paints the ensoulment and the humanisation and the fever dreams. His pictorial works reflect the inner, unconscious goings-on of the soul. He calls it his "whimsical irrationalism".
2017 – 2018
Jan Köhnholdt
Painting between being and appearance: Jan Köhnholdt's painting is reflection in the double sense of the word. The reflection of the external reality combines with the mental interior to form a new image. Köhnholdt's exploratory gaze is fascinated by snapshots that are visually curious or touching in content.
2018 – 2020
Romanus Fuhrmann
In his photographs, Hamburg photo artist Romanus Fuhrmann portrays character heads from his Ottenser Kiez neighbourhood and takes a look behind the scenes.
2020 - 2022
Hans-Gerhard Meyer
Hans-Gerhard Meyer's painting is about the memory of experienced moments. Memories colour, they reinforce experienced situations. In the process, the memory of what has been seen succeeds in different ways. Some glimpses stand clearly before us. Other glimpses of the same situation are more difficult to remember. Together, several remembered glances interpret a longer period of time: the moment.
