Berlin, 23. September 2021 - After the Deutsche Reisesicherungsfonds (DRSF) received the permission to start business on 30 August, the onboarding of travel providers now begins. As of now, travel providers can find the electronic form to apply for insolvency protection with the DRSF on the DRSF website (www.drsf.reise). The form is first filled out online (along with the required attachments), printed out and sent. The travel provider then has to sign the printed copy and send it by post within five days to the service provider who takes over the contract administration for the DRSF.

The contract administration is handled by the renowned Hamburg law firm KSP Dr. Seegers, Dr. Frankenheim Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH. KSP Rechtsanwälte was awarded the contract following a tendering procedure under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection, in which the law firm was able to convince with its legal expertise and its innovative digital solution approaches in volume proceedings.

The choice of KSP Rechtsanwälte as service provider also underlines the high priority that data protection has for the Deutsche Reisesicherungsfonds. The travel providers who insure themselves with the DRSF in the event of insolvency transmit sensitive company data to the Reisesicherungsfonds and its service provider. KSP has its own data centre with high-performance servers so that the data collected in the course of contract administration is protected in the best possible way. In addition, as a law firm, KSP is subject to confidentiality obligations under Section 203 of the Strafgesetzbuch (StGB).
